Our story

At 18, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. A freak thing - it seemed to have gone from being a healthy kid to having a “chronic” condition. In searching for answers, I kept coming up with one in particular - FOOD.

Fast forward a few years. I became obsessed with growing and raising food that would not only feed us but be our medicine too. When I met Ethan, he bought right in to my dream of having our own farm.

In 2019, we found the farm. Many things have changed since then. We manage a homestead and produce the majority of our own food. Our garden has grown from a postage stamp size to almost an acre of organically-grown vegetables and cut flowers. And - perhaps the biggest change - is having 3 wild babes alongside us.

One thing that hasn’t changed is our desire to produce the highest quality food for the health of our family and community.

Our Philosophy

We grow food to nourish, to build community around the table, and to protect natural ecosystems.

Our Guiding Principles

  • Soil Health

We build soil health by using no-till methods, adding organic amendments like compost, and keeping the soil covered or planted as much as possible. We also avoid practices that would harm the natural ecosystem and microbial life in the soil.

  • Biodiversity

In opposition to the monocultures of today’s conventional agriculture, we grow a wide variety of flowering plants and vegetables. This is not only to provide a variety to our customers, but also to attract a variety of insects and animals to the ecosystem.

  • Nutritional Quality

We grow without the use of harsh chemical inputs, utilizing naturally-derived versions, composts, and biological amendment. Our produce is healthier and more nutritious because of our attention to growing practices.
